Sr. Contract Negotiator-Government Agencies Equifax, Inc Reston, VA Apply Now on Partner Site Your Focus : As the Sr. Contract Negotiator you will support Sales Executives by executing complex negotiations for Federal, State and local Government Clients. Utilize experience to develop overall negotiations strategy and provide a buyer view of the offer to the greater negotiations team. Act as the lead negotiator (Client facing) for Government engagements and develop negotiation strategies. Project manage across functional teams (Sales, Pricing, Legal, and Technology) in the development of complex offer development and Client negotiations. Manage open issues to closure, drive internal consensus on key client issues related to pricing, business and legal terms and conditions, and product customization as required to close the client opportunity. Raise issues to Sr. Management as necessary. Partner with the greater project team to develop and prepare contract documentation for pricing and business contractual terms and conditions for new client contracts, contract renewals and amendment of existing client contracts. Maintain and use historical win/loss metrics and lessons learned for use on future client negotiations. You Key Responsibilities: Direct, project manager and negotiate large and/or complex client contracts with revenues up to $40 million per year You will provide subject matter expertise to Sales and senior/executive management through complex key Client deal negotiations from qualification or RFP through contract signature. You will qualify, analyze and effectively communicate client requirements to minimize pricing and negotiation cycles, and drive deal closure Provide business advice relating to business terms and conditions; communicate business risks to senior/executive management for approval; develop a negotiation strategy and lead each negotiation to successful completion You will provide strong business logic and detailed negotiation skills to help the Deal Team (SOM/Legal/Pricing/Sales) formulate their strategy and move from opportunity discovery into the contract phase You will need to understand market environments and emerging trends relating to negotiations and contract development You will provide tactical guidance from the beginning to the end of the client contracting process, including Requests for Proposal ("RFP"), business drivers, and overall strategy around pricing and negotiations You will raise material issues to senior management in a timely manner You will communicate complex business risks to senior/executive management for approval, acceptance or offer alternatives You will facilitate due diligence, as necessary, relating to cost and risk exposure You will interpret internal and external business issues and recommend standard methodologies. Solves complex problems; take a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions. Work independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations. Requirements: Bachelor Degree/MBA a plus Minimum 7+ years of applicable professional sales or government negotiation experience and a demonstrated track record in successfully developing, negotiating, and managing complex opportunities Significant background negotiating on behalf of Global Strategic Sourcing Organizations or a Government Contractor representing the customer/buyer side In depth knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Experience with administration of General Services Administration (GSA) contracts and other Government acquisition vehicles along with understanding of Federal and State budgeting and contracting processes is preferred Ability to understand the overall impact of sourcing category management Strong business background with a proven track record of strong business negotiation skills Extensive background in contract execution Strong, persuasive written and communication skills with one on one and executive level audiences.
